+       * Makefile.in (REAL_SOURCES): Delete xmalloc.c.
+       (OBJS): Delete xmalloc.o.
+       (xmalloc.o): Delete dependencies.
+       * as.c (main): Call xmalloc_set_program_name once program name is
+       known.

        * config/tc-alpha.c (in_range_signed, in_range_unsigned): New
        routines, split from in_range.
        (in_range): Deleted.  All calls changed to in_range_*signed.
